|
An exploration into how food changed across the twentieth century using paintings and artefacts from Worcester City's collection. Visitors to Worcester City Art Gallery & Museum can travel through time and discover how our food changed across the 20th century.
The exhibition explores war time recipes such as chocolate spread made from cocoa and mashed potato, and displays the curious 110 year old sandwich!

There are also historical paintings of Worcestershire's green and pleasant farmland and, of course, the world-famous Worcestershire Sauce.
Families can sniff foods that disappeared during the Second World War and let us know which food you couldn’t live without. We’ll be broadcasting some of the most interesting comments on Twitter throughout the exhibition – www.twitter.com/worcestermuseum
Much more delicious sandwiches, soup and cakes are also available in the museum’s Balcony Café.
