Exuberant Colour 24 July – 20 November, 2010
The revolutionary vivid colours, thick paint and distinctive brushstrokes of the French Impressionists continued to influence painters through the first half of the twentieth century. This exhibition explores a dozen paintings from Worcester’s collection in more depth, delving into the stories of the artists’ lives, their inspiration and their painting methods.
