Chemist Shop
 Gallery Plan

In January 1974, Worcester City Museum bought the contents of Steward’s Chemist Shop from the Steward family, including all the fixtures and fittings, display units and shop stock (some of which dated back well over 100 years).

Victorian roll-play in Steward's Chemist's shop

This gallery was converted to hold the display and this reconstruction is as identical as possible to the original shop - we have tried to show how Steward’s Chemist Shop would have looked in the early 1900s - the only feature that could not be added were the original shop windows - Preview & Interactive.

Main Art Gallery

Two Art Galleries in the West Midlands are celebrating an influential artistic dynasty this spring.

Samuel Lines, the son of a Warwickshire school teacher, founded the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists and his sons followed in his footsteps. Many of the finest mid-nineteenth century British artists were taught and inspired by the Lines family.
