ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Michael W. Thomas is originally from Staffordshire, in the West Midlands of England. He is a poet, fiction-writer and dramatist. His work has appeared in Iron, Other Poetry, Stand, Staple, The Interpreter's House, The Swansea Review (all UK), as well as in Grain and Alive Magazine (Canada), Irish University Review (Dublin, Ireland) and The Antioch Review (USA). He also reviews for Other Poetry and Irish Studies Review (UK). Presently, he is writing a novel, The Song of the Sun. His full-length play, To Harbour the Harbourless--a dramatization of 'the Miracle of St Wulfstan,' Worcester's patron saint--is to be performed in the West Midlands in 2002.

Michael's other interests include songwriting and musical performance. He also runs regular workshops in all aspects of Creative Writing for all age ranges, from primary school children to adults.
