A view of Worcester from Diglis dating from after1815
Anonymous

This picture shows the then newly built canal lock and swing bridge at Diglis (far right). The meadows beyond are now the site of Diglis Avenue and the Royal Worcester porcelain works. In front of the Cathedral can be seen Diglis House the home of Benjamin Williams Leader, the noted artist, and St Albans House, once the Hand in Glove Club with the Diglis bowling green. To the right the Edgar Tower is visible.
