St Peter the Great Church from King Street (1835)

by H.H.Lines

St Peter the Great Church from King Street, in 1835, prior to demolition. Next to the perpendicular style tower can be seen the timber-framed wall of the north aisle. Before the 19th century there were substantial amounts of timber-framing in Worcestershire churches. The best local example today is at Besford, near Pershore.
