Worcester Bridge, 1810
Anonymous

John Gwynn's bridge of 1781 seen from the north in 1810. On the right are the tollhouses, whilst on the left are Gwynn's Georgian houses which stood on the corner of Bridge Street and South Quay. Bridge Street was developed by Gwynn as an area of commerce with purpose built shops and houses. The street was completed in 1792. After years of neglect it was restored in the 1980s.
