Welcome to Worcester Museums and Art Galleries
RESOURCES - Old Pictures and Photographs of Worcester

The images contained in this part of the site are all drawn from the Museum's Art and Social History collections and feature views of Worcester dating from the 18th century to the 1950's.

They were originally published in 1996 in a book entitled "Worcester, A Pictorial History", by Tim Bridges and Charles Mundy (ISBN 0-85033-990-1), and are reproduced here as they appeared in the book - in black and white.

While the original photographs, sketches and many of the prints are black and white images, the paintings are all colour. Over the coming months the original artworks will be re-photographed and colour versions will be made available on these pages, with further images being added, in a rolling programme of updates, until all our Worcester views are available on-line.

Copies of Worcester, A Pictorial History (£13.99) are available at all the City Museum's shops and in good bookshops in the Worcester area.
