The Market Hall (c.1853)
Anonymous

The Market Hall from Stanley's Worcester and Malvern Guide (c.1853), which states "Our Market Hall may now well vie with any other of its size in the Kingdom, alike for its elegance of design and adequacy of accommodation". Built in 1804, the Market Hall stood opposite the Guildhall until it was demolished in the 1960's. The clock above the entrance was given by Richard Padmore in 1849, and can still be seen above the entrance to the City Arcade.
