Sansome Street and Lowesmoor (1975)
Anonymous

The junction of Sansome Street and Lowesmoor in August 1975, with Silver Street in the background. Sansome Street was formerly known as Town Ditch, a reminder that it lay outside the medieval city walls and was developed in the 18th century on the line of the ditch. In the centre of the view is a lamp standard made from one of the supports for the tram wires. Electric trams functioned in Worcester from 1904 to 1928.
