The view north east from Sidbury in 1975 along the line of City Walls Road. In the background is Fownes glove factory, whilst to the left is an early 19th century building which housed Clapton's bakery. This was reconstructed as flats in 1989. The car park in the photograph is on the site of a series of medieval tenement properties and during the construction of the road, a 14th century barrel-latrine was excavated here.
