The Guesten Hall (1844)
by H.H.Lines
The western side of the Guesten Hall painted
by H.H.Lines in 1844. The site of the hall is now a lawn
to the south of the Cathedral. It was demolished in 1862-6,
but the fine timber roof was saved and reused in Holy
Trinity Church, Shrub Hill Road. It is now on display
at Avoncroft Museum of Buildings.
