Worcester Cathedral from Chapter Meadows (early 20th century)
Anonymous

This view of Worcester Cathedral was taken in the early part of the 20th century. The Cathedral is sited on a piece of high ground on the opposite side of the River Severn to the flood plain, known at this point as Chapter Meadows. Now the site of the County Cricket Club and the King's School Playing Fields, the land was farmed as meadow land from the medieval period until this century.
