Angel Place in 2004. The Lewis and Clark Brewery building still
survives - as a night club - lying behind the tree on the right of
the photograph. This area was comprehensively redeveloped in the late
1960's to form a car park and shopping centre - known as the Blackfriars/
Centrovincial development. In the early 1990's the precinct was completely
refurbished and now forms part of the Crowngate shopping centre and
bus station. |
