The Plough Inn marked in red on the 1886 1:2500 OS map The Plough Inn (highlighted in red on the 1886 1:2500 OS map extract on the left) was originally called the White Horse and was one of twelve public houses in the Corn Market area. It was demolished as part of the City Walls and Blockhouse development during the 1960's.

More recently a Jaguar garage has been built where the pub once stood.
