The Scala Cinema highlighted on a 1938 aerial photgraph The Scala Cinema (highlighted on the left on a 1938 aerial photogrph) opened in 1922 and became one of Worcester's longest running cinemas - finally closing in 1973.

Next door to the Cinema (on the right in the photograph) was the Angel Street Corn Exchange. Built in 1848, this became Worcester's main Corn Exchange until the late 1800's.
