The Cathedral Plaza shopping centre, 2004
The site of the Lich Gate, 2004. The gate gave access to burial grounds to the north of the cathedral during medieval times. It had the privilege of being the last remaining cathedral Lich Gate in the country before its demolition in 1965. The following development commemorated the former gate in its name the Lychgate Centre although this has recently been renamed the Cathedral Plaza destroying any last connections.
